Code Complete by Steve Mcconnell : My Opinion

I would give this book a rating of 5 out of 5. It is a must read book for any software programmer. I would go to the extent of saying that it should be included in colleges as a textbook just after the course of programming language is studied. I regret reading it too late in my programmer career.

It is a must read for programmers who want to clear interviews of Microsoft or other MNC software companies. When you code in front of the interviewer, he would look at whether you are following the techniques of this book or not. To make it easy to browse, I am putting links of all the chapters below:
